About us - Scout and Guide Hall

St Edmund's Scout and Guide Hall, within the church campus, was designed and built for young people's activities and is an ideal venue for boisterous children's parties, keep fit classes and similar events.

It is in use every weekday evening by the Guides and Scouts in school term time, but is available for hire most Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings, and at all times during school holidays. (Because of its primary function as a venue for young people, it is not suitable for events where the consumption of alcohol will be part of the proceedings.)

In recent years the Hall has benefitted from completely rebuilt kitchen and toilets, and last year was fitted with double glazed atrium windows and hi-tech wall insulation. At the same time we fitted a new central heating system which proved its mettle during the bitter winter of last year. (2010/11)

A typical children's party lasting 3 hours will cost £40 in the warmer months and £45 from 1 November to 31 March. Other periods readily negotiated.
