Rambles in February 2012
25th Anniversary Ramble - 18th February
In February 1987 the first St Edmund's ramble took place - it was a walk
in the Washburn Valley. This February we intend to celebrate the anniversary
by undertaking a ramble in the same area although not following the exact
route of the original walk.
This year's walk will be 5¼ miles in length and will start from the
Blubberhouses car park and follow the River Washburn up to Thruscross Reservoir.
After following the shore of the reservoir for around half a mile we will
head south and then east back to the car park.
Afterwards we plan to drive to the Sun Inn at Norwood (on the B6451 Otley
to Dacre road) for lunch.
If anyone, perhaps former active members of the group, would like to join
us at the Sun Inn at around 1.45pm they would be most welcome. If you would
like to come along to the pub or need further information about the walk
please contact Edwin Dickens.
We meet in the church car park at 9.30am. New ramblers always welcome.

It is intended to recommence the mid-week rambles
in March.
